In the early 1990s, DÜCHTING PUMPEN developed a new, non-metal material that is extremely wear-resistant and corrosion-resilient.
SICcast Mineralguß GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1996 to produce and process the SiC-mineral cast material. The first great examples of success can be reached in pumps for flue gas desulphurisation and subsequently in pumps for gas cleaning of waste incineration plants. The first applications are particularly characterised by demanding operating conditions in which high-alloyed stainless steels fail. Due to these material properties, metal materials, ceramics and plastics can also be replaced to extend service lifes in the chemical industry. The national success of this material technology establishes the SICcast products on the international market as well.
With the development and patenting of the cold-curing wear protection material SIConit, the corner stone for the national and international repair business was laid in 2001. This development of SIConit granted access to a new market and decisively expanded the business field of SICcast Mineralguß GmbH & Co. KG.
Under the management of its current manager Dr.-Ing. Carsten Düchting, the global marketing of the DÜCHTING PUMPEN and SICcast Mineralguß GmbH & Co. KG is specifically supported. This strategy includes the up-and-coming international franchise system of SICcast Mineralguß GmbH & Co. KG. Know-how collected in more than two decades will be used by partners around the world in future.
