Silicon carbide is the central part component of our abrasion- and corrosion-resilient materials.

Silicon carbide is an almost diamond-hard synthetic mineral that is industrially produced.
The decisive feature of silicon carbide is the concurrent resilience to corrosion and abrasion.

SICcast® material is produced by combining the silicon carbide with different binders.

SICcast® EP 135:  

SICcast® EP 135 is produced using a hot-curing epoxy resin and silicon carbide. This castable silicon carbide is used for casting complex parts exposed to erosion corrosion, abrasion or corrosion in the pH-range 0 - 12. (component size up to 8,000 kg) 

SICcast plus®:

The production of SICcast plus® uses different phenol and epoxy resins and silicon carbides. After casting in a form, the case and cured body becomes a SiSiC-ceramic part by pyrolysis and silication.

SIConit®:

SIConit® composites are produced using a cold-curing epoxy resin and silicon carbide. These silicon carbide composites are used for repairing and protecting surfaces exposed to erosion corrosion, abrasion or corrosion in the pH-range 0 - 12.

SIOSIC®:

SIOSIC® is produced using an inorganic silicate and chemically cleaned silicon carbide. This groutable high-temperature corrosion protection (ΔT = -150 °C to +900 °C) is used to protect surfaces exposed to erosion corrosion, abrasion or corrosion in the pH-range 0 - 14.
